Today I am so thankful for a God that is faithful.
Lillian just called my name and said Look what I did! which usually means she has done something naughty and wants to show off.
Look what I did! Smashed up gold fish.

Look what I did! Crayon on the walls.
Look what I did! TP roll in the potty.
So I checked my temper and went to look. My child showed me that she had picked up all of her toys before moving onto the next activity. What the what?! Feeling a little stunned, I quickly praised the behavior and went back to emptying the dishwasher.
Today I am thankful for a God who doesn't let me be a dummy.
That was a big deal. I needed to do a better job of letting her know that. I went back over, praised her more, hugged her and let her pick out a special treat from the candy cabinet.
How often do we think that our kids don't hear us and that we aren't making an impact? What matters is that God hears us. That he loves us and them. We can trust him with their little hearts.

Thank you sweet friend I needed to hear this today. I was just telling Scott yesterday that I dont think Judah will ever understand me when I say "come here" its a simple request and I would think by the age of 2 (he will be 2 very soon) that he would come here when I want to change his diaper or come here when I want him to get into the car so I can take him to go see trucks. This and 2 year molars coming in yesterday had me in tears, frustrated with being a stay at home mom. Thank you for showing me that God is faithful.
