Happy fourth friends! (Only two days late. Better then nothing, right?!) I hope you had a splendid day full of fireworks, bbq's, friends and family. Lilly spent some time in the pool in the morning while Rosie and I hung out in the shade. I did not get any awesome underwater pictures of Lilly because her Mimi was there and she wanted absolutely nothing to do with me. In the evening we had some bbq and I made chocolate covered berries. Because nothing says America like chocolate indulgence, right? (Just go with it.) Ben and I didn't do anything after the kiddos went to bed because we had stayed up way too late the night before watching Battle Los Angeles. I don't know if you've ever seen it but we love it. What made it even more fun is the fact that a huge local Independence Day celebration was wrapping up during the movie so there was a lot of booming going on outside. It made the explosions in the movie epic. Way too much fun which resulted in staying up way too late which resulted in two crabby parents on the night of the fourth wanting to roundhouse kick all of our neighbors for shooting off fireworks.
