Dani posted this today and it was pretty fun to read so I thought I'd play along too.
Obsessing over: Garage Sale-ing. I found some amazing, mint condition, vintage playschool toys for Lilly a few weeks ago (saving them for Christmas) and I feel like there have to be more out there! I also recently got an app called Garage Sale Rover that is pretty great. I have no idea how it works but I love it.
Working on: My blog redesign, a custom stocking, Christmas decor for my church, a toy for a friend... and possibly some Christmas gifts for my nieces and for Lilly (and maybe something for the hubby). Over commit much?
Thinking about: what kind of Christmas experience I want to provide for Lilly as she grows up. What I want her focus during the holidays to be. How much I want to give into consumerism and prompt her to follow that trend into her adult hood. I'll post more on all of that another day...
Anticipating: Christmas. Obviously. More specifically- finishing decorations for the church by Friday (!!!!!) and finishing the custom stocking, you know, before it actually needs to be hung and filled.
Listening to: Peace and quiet. Ben and Lilly went to a local park to look at Christmas lights. Even though I love my family so so much, my inner mommy revels in the moments of quiet bliss. Aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
Drinking: I just finished the best home made cup of hot chocolate I've ever had. I steamed the milk with my espresso machine and mixed in Swiss Miss Marshmallow Lovers. So effin good. Now I'm drinking water because pregnancy dehydrates me like a mother. (get it?!?)
Wishing: it was Christmas of 2012. I know I shouldn't be wishing time away but by this time next year I'll be in a good routine with my two sweet babies and (hopefully) have more energy and sense enough to not over commit myself. I'm just pretty excited about the two babies thing.

ReplyDeleteI can totally relate though I don't have kids yet. my husband and i are looking forward to having babies and these thoughts have been going through my mind lately...
by the way - i love this blog - i don't always leave comments (i know, shame shame shame!) but just so you know.. i'm always around :P
